We had 29 students complete and return their summer reading logs this year, which was almost twice as many students as last year! Students returning their reading logs were entered into a drawing. Today we had the drawing for the fabulous, fun prizes. Congratulations to our winners.

JBE is very excited to introduce our new MCR-II School Based Social Worker, Kylee Waite. "My name is Kylee Waite and I am very excited to join the Montgomery Count R-II team as the School Based Social Worker. My position will provide support to children and families at all schools within the district and community connections. Now here is a little bit about me: I have lived in Montgomery County almost 18 years. I have worked in the area of Social Worker for over 14 years. I live with my husband , two children, and our puppy dog Rylie. We love the community we live in. Some of the things I enjoy doing most are swimming, boating, and traveling. I look forward to working with all of you and please know if you need anything feel free to contact me, at any time."

Students who set and example of one of our 5 Be's - Respectful, Cooperative, Responsible, Kind, Safe - are presented with Positive Passenger cards. Each week we draw two random cards and recognize our Postive Passengers of the week. Congratulations to our Positive Passengers this week.

Tonight is Teacher Meet & Greet and supply drop off. Parents and students are invited to stop by, meet their teacher, and drop off their supplies during your designated time slot based on the last name of your oldest child attending JBE. We are trying to keep the number of people in the building at one time limited. If you are unable to make it at your designated time slot, please call the office to make an appointment to come at a different time. Summer Library is back in July at JBE. Join us on Thursday between 11am and 6pm for book fun. We will have take-home activities and fun projects at the library. Plus you will have an opportunity to check-out books and get help with your summer reading logs.

Big THANKS to Gunner Sexton and the other gentlemen for helping law enforcement keep our community safe! Gunner was one of many students that helped with Ag Safety Day at JBE this year! Message From Coach Leu about HS Volleyball Volleyball camp for anyone interested in playing high school volleyball, is June 21st-24th. Times are as follows: 21st (8am-4pm) 22nd-24th (4:15pm-6:15pm) We will be swimming and doing team bonding activities on the 21st from 1pm-4pm at Kan Do campground.
