Montgomery County R-2 is fortunate to have many great staff members and many wonderful community members who support our kids. The district recognizes staff members, as well as our community supporters each month with Wildcat Awards. The community members receive the P.A.W.S. award, P.A.W.S. stands for Perpetually a Wildcat Supporter. We are honored to recognize the Montgomery County Fair Board for the Wildcat P.A.W.S Award. The Montgomery County Fair Board exemplifies the spirit of community service, dedication to our students, and unwavering support of FFA and 4-H programs. Their tireless efforts have significantly contributed to the betterment of our community, making them the ideal candidates for the Wildcat PAWS Award. Through their commitment to volunteerism, the Fair Board has demonstrated a profound dedication to uplifting our community. Moreover, their steadfast support of our students has been truly remarkable. By providing platforms for young minds to showcase their talents, learn invaluable life skills, and foster a sense of responsibility, the Fair Board has played a pivotal role in shaping the future leaders of our community. By providing opportunities for hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth, through the Junior Fair Board program they have empowered young individuals to pursue their passions and make meaningful contributions to society. The Fair Board's emphasis on hard work, dedication, and community betterment serves as an inspiration to us all. Their collective efforts embody the true spirit of the Wildcat PAWS Award. Thank you for your continued support of our students. Congratulations Mont. Co. Fair Board, and thank you for your continued dedication to our students, district and community!

The Montgomery County R-II School District would like to announce the February winners of the Wildcat Award. The Wildcat Award is given to staff members who exemplify our mission of creating lifelong learners and productive citizens. We are excited to present this award to the dynamic duo of Becky Gilbert and Jess Horn. Jess and Becky are Special Education Paraprofessionals at Montgomery County Middle School. In addition to their official titles, these ladies wear numerous other hats in the building working extra hard to get things done and make sure students and staff are taken care of. Their nomination says: MCMS is beyond blessed to have Becky Gilbert and Jess Horn serving our students as paraprofessionals. It may seem odd to nominate them together, but you can't recognize one without the other, because they are always working together to do good at MCMS! Every day, these two ladies can always be found working to help students meet their potential. They are both so dedicated to our students, providing support so each student can learn and grow. As paraprofessionals, they wear so many hats throughout their day as they transition to different classrooms with different students and they both do it with grace. In addition to excelling in their roles as paraprofessionals, they also help our students and staff so much outside of the classroom. For example, they can often be found planning and attending after school events for our students like the tailgate party. The work they do to bring joy to our staff through gestures like organizing carry-ins and fun celebrations is such a morale booster and adds to our building's culture. MCMS staff and students are blessed to have these two wonderful, hard working Wildcats on our team! Congratulations, Jess and Becky, we truly appreciate your dedication to our students!

The Montgomery County R-II School District would like to announce the February winner of the Wildcat Award. The Wildcat Award is given to staff members who exemplify our mission of creating lifelong learners and productive citizens. We are excited to present this award to Mrs. Amy Neill. Amy is the Special Education Process Coordinator for the district. Her nomination says: Amy has been such a great additional to the SpEd department. She has done a great job of taking the time to explain things to parents and just having conversations about how to help their child. Parents seem to understand her when she explains things. She also provides practical tips and tricks to help parents at home which she pulls from her own experiences as both a MS teacher and a mom. Glad she has joined the MoCo team. Amy has exemplified an unwavering dedication to the success of our students and the efficiency of our processes. Her commitment to ensuring paperwork compliance has not only streamlined our process, but has also instilled a sense of trust and reliability within our team. Amy has consistently demonstrated a genuine passion for supporting student success, going above and beyond to ensure that every individual receives the assistance they need to thrive. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative spirit make her an invaluable asset to our team. Amy Neill is a tireless advocate for children and an unwavering seeker of knowledge. Her dedication to the well-being of those around her, especially our students, is nothing short of inspiring. Amy's warmth and empathy creates a safe haven for all who cross her path. Her genuine care for others shines through in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on those lucky enough to know her. As an advocate for kids she fearlessly champions their rights, voices, and needs, ensuring that their needs are identified. As an information seeker, she never settles for surface-level understanding but dives deep into every issue that affects the lives of children. In every sense of the word, Amy Neill embodies the spirit of the Wildcat Award. Her kindness, caring nature, advocacy for kids, and unwavering dedication to staying well-informed make her a true champion of compassion and a shining example for us all. Congratulations, Amy, we truly appreciate your dedication to our students!
